Teprenone is a medicine used to treat gastritis and gastric ulcers. It helps protect the stomach lining by supporting gastric mucus production and secretion and improving mucosal blood flow.
 
Efficacy
Improvement of gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, redness and swelling) associated with acute gastritis or acute exacerbations of chronic gastritis.
Gastric ulcers.
 
 
Usage
The usual adult dose is one capsule (50 mg of teprenone) three times daily after meals, for a total of three capsules (150 mg) per day. The dose may be adjusted according to age and symptoms. Follow your doctor’s instructions.
Remove each capsule from the blister sheet before taking it. Do not swallow the blister packaging.

Clinical trials in children have not been conducted. Older adults may require particular care because physiological function is often reduced.
Possible side effects include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, bloating, headache, rash, itching, and redness or a sensation of heat in the eyelids. Laboratory changes may include elevated liver enzymes or total cholesterol and reduced platelet counts. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if abnormalities occur.
Liver dysfunction and jaundice may occur. If you develop yellowing of the skin or eyes, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice promptly.
Store at room temperature. After opening the aluminum bag, protect the medicine from light and moisture.
