This medicine has anti-cholinergic effects which relieve symptoms of parkinsonism such as muscle stiffness or hand tremor. It also improves allergic symptoms (itching, sneezing, nasal discharge, coughing etc.) by antihistamine effect. 
It is usually used to improve paralysis agitans, parkinsonism, sneezing/nasal discharge/coughing caused by upper airway inflammation such as cold, hay fever (pollinosis), allergic rhinitis, itching caused by skin diseases (eczema/dermatitis, cutaneous pruritus, drug eruption, toxicoderma), hives, vasomotor edema and kinesia (motion sickness). It is also used for anesthetic premedication or artificial hibernation by medicine. 
 
Efficacy 
It is a first-generation antihistamine that was developed very recently. The chemical structure is phenothiazine. It is relatively fast-acting and has a short action time. It is effective against sneezing, runny nose, and itching, but not so effective against stuffy nose. The disadvantage of the first generation is that it tends to cause various side effects such as dry mouth and urinary problems due to its anticholinergic effect. In addition, because it is highly fat-soluble and easily enters the brain, it can have central depressant effects such as drowsiness and decreased concentration. 
It has a low selectivity to histamine receptors, acts antagonistically to various receptors such as other muscarinic receptors and serotonin receptors, and exhibits a wide variety of effects. It has a wide range of applications; for example, it is used to treat tremors' paralysis and Parkinson's disease due to its strong anticholinergic effect, and it is also effective for motion sickness due to its antiemetic effect. It may also be used as a sedative when itching prevents you from sleeping. 
 
Usage 
Paralysis agitans, parkinsonism: In general, for adults, take 25 to 200 mg as active ingredient per day in several divided doses. This preparation contains 5 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. 
Other diseases: In general, for adults, take 1 to 5 tablets (5 to 25 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 1 to 3 times a day. 
In any of the above indications, the dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age and symptom. Strictly follow the instructions. 
If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as possible. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time. 
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. 
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, rash, photosensitivity and liver disorder (general malaise, nausea, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes). If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist .
