Domperidone Tablets 10mg “NIG” are prescription gastrointestinal motility agents manufactured by Nichi-Iko Co., Ltd.
They contain domperidone as the active ingredient and are commonly prescribed to improve gastrointestinal motility
and relieve symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, appetite loss, abdominal bloating, and heartburn.

This medicine works by stimulating weakened stomach and intestinal movement, helping food pass smoothly
from the stomach to the intestines. It belongs pharmacologically to the dopamine antagonist class and
is categorized therapeutically as a gastrointestinal prokinetic agent or gastrointestinal function regulator.

Domperidone has been widely used across multiple clinical fields, including internal medicine and pediatrics,
to manage gastrointestinal symptoms associated with reduced gastric motility.

Usage

Adult Dosage

The usual adult dose is 1 tablet (10 mg of domperidone) taken three times daily before meals.

When used with levodopa preparations, the recommended dose is 5–10 mg taken three times daily before meals.
The dosage may be adjusted depending on age and symptoms.

Pediatric Dosage

For children, the usual dose is 1–2 mg per kg of body weight per day of the active ingredient,
divided into three doses taken before meals.

The maximum dose is generally 30 mg per day (3 tablets).
For children aged 6 years and older, the maximum dose is 1 mg per kg per day.

Important Instructions

Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your physician or pharmacist.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is close to the next scheduled dose.
Do not take two doses at once to compensate for a missed dose.
If an overdose occurs, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Do not discontinue the medication without medical advice.
