CEREKINON®S is an OTC medicine for relieving the recurrent symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), containing trimebutine maleate as its active ingredient. 20 tablets per box.

Efficacy
Relief of the following symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome: repeated or alternating diarrhea and constipation accompanied by abdominal pain or discomfort. (For use only by those previously diagnosed and treated by a doctor.)

Trimebutine maleate, a prokinetic agent, normalizes intestinal movement — suppressing motility when it is excessive and stimulating it when it is reduced. This dual action makes it effective for all types of IBS: diarrhea-predominant, constipation-predominant, and mixed.

Usage
Take with cold or warm water, without chewing, before or after meals.

＜Warning＞

Only for those previously diagnosed with and treated for IBS by a physician.
Do not use for prolonged periods; consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if symptoms do not improve after 1 week, or if use continues beyond 2 weeks (up to 4 weeks maximum).
Do not use if you have fever, vomiting, blood in stool, severe or acute diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, or a history of colorectal cancer or inflammatory bowel disease.
Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, aged 50 or over, or under treatment for hepatic disease, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, or other conditions listed in the package insert.
Possible side effects include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, rash, and itching. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if symptoms occur.
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
