This medicine is a synthetic adrenocortical hormone agent (steroid) and reduces symptoms by suppressing inflammation in eyes

It is usually used to treat eye inflammatory disease such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis.

Efficacy

Because it is a suspension, it has the advantage of staying longer on the eye surface. It is considered that steroids are milder in action, have less migration into the eye, and have fewer side effects such as increased intraocular pressure.

Flumetholone is available in two different concentrations and should be used as appropriate. A low-concentration formulation (0.02%) may be used if it is mild. (0.1%) is used.

Usage

Shake well before applying. Usually, 1 to 2 drops are instilled 2 to 4 times a day, but it may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. Be sure to follow the directions for use.

When instilling, use the following procedure. First, wash your hands, turn your face upside down, pull the lower eyelids, open your eyes firmly and apply. At this time, make sure that the tip of the container does not touch the eyelids or eyelashes. Close your eyes gently without blinking, squeeze your eyes with your fingertips for 1-5 minutes, then open your eyes. (When applying other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes after applying the first eye drop.)

If you miss a dose, take a dose when you notice. Now return to normal usage. However, if it is almost time for the next regular instillation, do not instill one dose at the next regular time. Do not apply two doses at once.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you apply too many by mistake.

Do not stop eye drops at your own discretion without a doctor's instruction.
