[General Name] Sodium hyaluronate ophthalmic solution
[Active ingredient] 1 mL contains 1 mg of sodium hyaluronate.
Efficacy
This medicine promotes corneal injury healing by binding to fibronectin and promoting adhering/repairing corneal epithelial cells. It has also multiple water molecules retaining function within the molecule of the active ingredient and retains/stabilizes tears to prevent eyes from drying out.
It is usually used to treat keratoconjunctival epithelial disorder associated with Sjogren's syndrome and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Usage
Usually, one drop of 0.1% formulation is instilled 5 to 6 times a day, but it may be adjusted according to the symptoms. If the effect is not sufficient, apply 1 drop of 0.3% formulation once to 5 to 6 times daily. This product is a 0.1% formulation. Be sure to follow the instructions for use.
First, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water. Next, twist and remove the tip of the container (the part that does not contain the drug solution), and discard 1-2 drops before instilling. Pull the lower eyelid down and instill it so that the tip of the container does not touch the edge of the eyelid or the eyelashes. After applying, close the eyelids and close your eyes without blinking for a while. Wipe off the overflowing liquid with a clean gauze or tissue. If you remove the tip of the container once after instilling it, be sure to discard it without instilling it afterwards even if the drug solution remains. If you also use other eye drops, leave at least 5 minutes.
If you miss a dose, take one dose immediately when you notice. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply two doses at once.
If you accidentally apply too much, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.
