[General name] Tolnaftate ointment[Active ingredient]Contains 20 mg of Japanese Pharmacopoeia tolnaftate in 1 g.
Efficacy
It is a thiocarbamine-based antifungal drug. It has a particularly strong antibacterial effect against Trichophyton. However, it doesn't work very well for Candida.
Two types of formulations, ointment and liquid, are on sale. Use this properly in consideration of symptoms, parts, usability, etc. In general, ointments that are easy to use for any condition are often prescribed. Ointment may be safe for wet affected areas. Liquids have the disadvantage of being highly irritating, but because of their strong penetrating power, they are suitable for affected areas with thick and keratinized skin.
Usage
In general, apply an appropriate amount on or rub an appropriate amount into the affected area 2 to 3 times a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
This medicine is not for ophthalmic use. Do not apply it to your eyes.
However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
