[General name] Levocabastine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution
[Active ingredient] 0.27 mg of levocabastine hydrochloride (0.25 mg as levocabastine) is contained in 1 mL.
 
Efficacy
This medicine suppresses allergic symptoms such as itch / bloodshot eyes by histamine H1-receptor antagonist.
It is usually used to treat allergic conjunctivitis.
 
Usage
In general, shake the bottle well, and apply 1 to 2 drops at a time, 4 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening, and before bedtime). Strictly follow the instructions.
Before applying, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water. Next, shake the bottle well and open the cap. Then, pull down your lower eyelid so that the dropper tip does not touch eye or eyelashes and apply the medicine. Wipe off any excess liquid with a clean gauze or tissue immediately. If you need to apply other eye drops at the same time, apply other eye drops first and then wait more than 5 minutes before applying this medicine.
If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should not apply two doses at one time.
If you accidentally apply more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop applying this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

＜Warning＞
Avoid applying this medicine while you wear hydrous soft contact lenses.
 
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include stinging eyes, headache, blepharitis (erosion of eyelids), conjunctivitis, chemosis, eye mucus, and bloodshot eyes. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
