[General name] Diclofenac sodium tape
 
[Active ingredient]
Each sheet contains 10 cm x 14 cm (3.0 g / 140 cm2 of plaster) containing 30 mg of diclofenac sodium (Japanese Pharmacopoeia).
 
Efficacy 
This medicine is absorbed through skin, and suppresses production of prostaglandin in the body, which is considered as a cause of inflammation and pain. It consequently relieves inflammation, swelling, and pain in muscles or joints.
It is usually used for reduction of pain/inflammation such as osteoarthritis, shoulder periarthritis, muscle pain, low back pain, etc.
 
Usage
In general, apply to the affected area once daily. Strictly follow the instructions.
Avoid applying to injured area, mucous membrane, or area with eczema or rash.
Wipe your skin before applying if you are sweating, and use after your sweat subsides if taking a bath.
When applying, hold firmly to adapt to your skin in the hands evenly not to peel off.
If you miss a dose, apply when you remembered.
If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
・hives, breathlessness, swelling in face/tongue/throat [shock, anaphylaxis]
・rash/swelling/blister in the applied site [contact dermatitis]
