Announcement: Resumption of Shipping to the United States & Trial Shipment Program

Due to changes in customs procedures, shipments to the United States via Japan Post had been suspended since late August 2025.

We are pleased to inform you that Japan Post has resumed shipping to the United States as of mid-April 2026.

However, there are two important changes and concerns compared to previous shipments:

  • Prepaid customs duties

  • FDA regulations regarding personal importation of medicines

First, under the new system, customs duties may apply regardless of the order amount, and these duties must now be paid in advance.

(Based on the current system, the estimated duty rate is approximately 15%.)

Second, there are regulatory considerations related to the importation of medicines by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

According to Japan Post’s prohibited items guidelines:

“Medicines, including those for personal use, are only permitted if they comply with FDA regulations. Please refer to the FDA website for details.”

The FDA also provides guidance on personal importation of medicines on its official website.

For the safety and security of Americans, products that violate FDA laws and/or regulations are generally not permitted. However, in allowing the importation of medications for personal use, FDA personnel may consider a more permissive decision in the following situations: ・Product is not for treatment of a serious condition and there is no known significant health risk; or ・Product is for the treatment of a serious condition (i.e., Prescription Drug Products): 1. The product is for a serious condition for which effective treatment may not be available domestically either through commercial or clinical means. 2. There is no known commercialization or promotion of the product to persons residing in the U.S. 3. The product does not represent an unreasonable risk. 4. The consumer affirms in writing that the product is for personal use. 5. The quantity is generally not more than a three month supply and either: a. Provide the name and address of the doctor licensed in the U.S. responsible for your treatment with the product, or b. Provide evidence that the product is for the continuation of a treatment begun in a foreign country.

  2. If a shipment is not successfully delivered, a full refund will be provided

  3. Orders are limited to a maximum of 2 different products, with only 1 unit per product
