Parasympathomimetics (gastrointestinal hypermotility drugs)

A drug that improves gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach upset by activating parasympathetic nerves and enhancing gastrointestinal motility.

Efficacy

This medicine stimulates serotonin receptor in the digestive tract and increases acetylcholine release in order to improve functions of enterokinesis and gastric emptying.
It is usually used to treat heartburn, nausea and vomiting caused by chronic gastritis.

Usage

In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (5mg of mosapride citrate) at a time, 3 times a day, before or after meals. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally took more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

The most commonly reported adverse reaction include diarrhea / loose stool, dry mouth, abdominal pain, malaise, rash, hives, nausea, abdominal enlarged feeling, headache, etc. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowness in the skin or the conjunctiva [fulminant hepatitis, liver dysfunction, jaundice]
