Gamma-aminobutyric acid 250mg


Additive

Corn starch, light silicic anhydride, polyvinyl alcohol (partially saponified product), magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium oxide, macrogol 6000, talc, dimethylpolysiloxane, silicon dioxide, carnauba wax

Various symptoms associated with the following diseases (headache, dull headache, fatigability, hot flashes, tinnitus, memory disorder, sleep disorder, decreased motivation)

Head trauma sequelae


Dosage and dosage

As gamma-aminobutyric acid, the usual adult dose is 3 g (12 tablets) per day orally administered in 3 divided doses.

The dosage should be adjusted according to age and symptoms.


Overview of occurrence of side effects, etc.

The side effects of gammalon tablets were reported in 3.2% (23 cases) of the total of 714 cases, and the main adverse reactions were anorexia 0.4% (3 cases) and diarrhea 0.3% (2 cases).

Cerebral metabolism promoting effect

The brain mainly functions by using glucose from the blood as an energy source. Gamma-aminobutyric acid enhances hexokinase activity required at the entry point of the TCA cycle and promotes carbohydrate metabolism. In addition, when 50 mg/kg of gamma-aminobutyric acid was intravenously administered to dogs with experimental brain injury, increases in cerebral blood flow and cerebral oxygen supply were observed.
