Celecox and Loxonin

Both drugs fall into the category of "nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)". There is a difference in action.
What are painkillers and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)?
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) type painkillers reduce the production of "prostaglandins," which are substances that cause "pain, inflammation, and fever" in the body, thereby causing inflammation-related swelling and swelling. Relieves pain and lowers fever.
Prastagrangen is made by an enzyme called "cyclooxygenase (COX)", but non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX).
Loxonin (loxoprofen)
By inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX), it suppresses the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation, and has the effect of reducing inflammation, pain and fever.
Celecoxib
The main component of celecoxib is celecoxib. Celecox is a drug developed to improve the side effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as loxonin that cause stomach upset.
In fact, there are two types of cyclooxygenase (COX), "COX-1" and "COX-2". COX-1 has a protective effect on the gastric mucosa, and COX-2 causes inflammation, fever and pain. If it inhibits up to COX-1, it loses the protective effect of the gastric mucosa, which may result in stomach upset.
Celecox was developed to selectively inhibit COX-2 without acting on COX-1. Therefore, inflammation and pain can be suppressed without causing stomach upset.
Difference in action
◆ Loxonin has the side effect of causing stomach upset because it inhibits both COX-1, which has a protective effect on the stomach, and COX-2, which causes inflammation, fever, and pain.
◆ Celecox does not act on COX-1 but selectively acts on COX-2, so it is a pain reliever with few side effects that cause stomach upset.
Difference in how to drink
Loxonin (loxoprofen)
It depends on the disease and symptoms, but basically it is a medicine to take 60mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day.
If you take it as a single dose, take 60mg (1 tablet) to 120mg (2 tablets) at a time. You will be instructed to take at least 3-4 hours after taking a single dose.
Celecoxib
Compared to loxonin, Celecox has a longer duration of action, so Loxonin is taken 3 times a day, while Celecox is taken twice a day (100-200 mg once).
Even if you take it as a single dose, you will be instructed to leave at least 6 hours between intervals. Loxonin is indicated as an antipyretic, but Celecox is not taken as an antipyretic.
Difference in how to drink
◆ Loxonin is generally taken 3 times a day, whereas Celecox is taken twice a day because it has a longer duration of action than loxonin.
◆ Compared to Celecox, loxonin has a shorter duration of action and immediate effect.
◆ Celecox is not used as an antipyretic
Differences in effects and side effects
Loxonin (loxoprofen)
Although it is expected to be effective as an antipyretic analgesic, it also has a risk of side effects.
Side effects are especially gastrointestinal disorders. Therefore, those with weak gastrointestinal tract or digestive ulcers should be careful when taking this medicine. Stomach medicine is often taken together. Other side effects include nausea, vomiting, and rash.
Celecoxib
Compared to loxonin, it is said to have less gastrointestinal disorders as a side effect.
However, you still need to be careful, so if you have a weak gastrointestinal tract or have a digestive ulcer, be careful when taking it. Other major side effects include nausea, vomiting and rash.
Common notes
◆ Avoid taking it on an empty stomach and take it after meals.
◆ Follow the amount as instructed by your doctor. It is strictly forbidden to take too much medicine just because it does not work. Increase the amount at your own discretion and avoid drinking frequently. If it doesn't work, there may be other causes or the symptoms may be worsening. Be sure to consult your doctor.
◆ If you are taking one antipyretic analgesic drug, do not take another antipyretic analgesic drug. It works stronger and increases the risk of side effects.
◆ In rare cases, even if there are no side effects, allergic symptoms (eczema, anaphylaxis, shock symptoms, etc.) to the drug may suddenly occur due to changes in physical condition.
If you experience unusual or unusual symptoms, you may have side effects, so consult your doctor / pharmacist immediately.
